Union Blvd runs past a lot of tight 1960s ranch driveways, and half the calls we take over there start with a car that won't clear the apron. Those older lots weren't built for a modern flatbed, so we'll often work off the street and winch rather than back in and take out somebody's sprinkler heads. The 6th Avenue Freeway is a different animal — traffic moves, and when something happens between Wadsworth and Kipling it's usually a real crash, not a breakdown. We stage for that accordingly.
Winter is Green Mountain. Steep residential streets glaze over, a two-wheel-drive sedan gets maybe two-thirds of the way up, and then it's parked sideways until someone pulls it off. Same story on the Rooney Road side of the hogback. Lockouts and jump starts cluster in the apartment blocks along Colfax and Alameda, mostly at hours nobody enjoys.

Access there is controlled and they have their own security, so it's not a matter of rolling up to the gate. Tell us it's on the Federal Center when you call — we'll coordinate entry, and you may need to meet the driver or clear it with your escort first.
My car got towed in Lakewood — who has it?
Lakewood runs its own police department, so a police-ordered tow goes to their contracted lot, not ours. Once you've paid the release and have the paperwork, we can pick the vehicle up and haul it home or to your shop.
